Helping little mouths grow the way they were designed to
Children are born with a remarkable ability to grow and adapt. Sometimes something gets in the way: a tongue that can't move freely, a feeding journey that feels harder than it should, or a mouth that isn't developing the way we'd hope. Our job is to find out what's getting in the way and help clear the path, gently and at your child's pace.
Every child's care starts with listening. We want to hear your child's story, from birth and feeding to sleep, eating and play, because the details you share help us see the whole picture.
Before any treatment, we do a thorough functional assessment. Think of it like a GPS: we need to know where your child is starting and where we're hoping to go before we can choose the best path. For infants, we work alongside infant feeding specialists so the whole care team is pulling in the same direction.
BabyLase is a gentle, non-surgical laser approach for babies up to age 2. The light feels like gentle warmth, and each visit is tailored to your baby's cues, the care team's findings, and how your little one is doing that day. Babies wear small protective goggles during treatment, so we'll ask you to practice with swim goggles at home beforehand. Dr. Tenholder developed BabyLase and teaches it to dental professionals.
CARE Releases bring together our evaluation and release options for children with tongue ties and restricted oral tissues, including careful, conservative surgical releases when they are the right choice, on their own or alongside laser therapy.
Childhood is the season of active growth, and that makes it the season of opportunity. GROW is our program for growing children. It brings together evaluation, hands-on care, home activities and, when it fits, NeuralFORM Dental Device Therapies, all aimed at supporting how the mouth, face and airway develop.
NeuralFORM Dental Device Therapies are a family of custom dental appliances. Most are small, light wires that sit on the inside of the teeth, so they're worn around the clock and are hard for friends to notice. Each design is chosen and adjusted for your child. Parents often tell us they appreciate not having to battle over removable appliances or daily exercise charts.
Growth slows in the teen years, but there is still a great deal we can do. Teens can benefit from the same thorough evaluation, and NeuralFORM Dental Device Therapies can be part of their care, including for teens who have already had braces.
