Dr. Tenholder graduated from the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 1994 and has been caring for patients ever since. Early on she considered an orthodontic residency and chose not to, because she didn't want to limit herself to one thing for the rest of her career. As a general dentist, she gets to know her patients for a lifetime, and that long view is what led her to the questions that now shape her work: how the mouth, breathing, posture and the nervous system all connect.
She has spent hundreds of hours in advanced training in craniofacial pain, dental sleep medicine, laser therapy and oral function. She developed BabyLase and RestOralase, and today she teaches dental professionals locally, nationally and internationally through The Synergy Academy.
