That's one of Dr. Tenholder's favorite sayings, and it shapes how we care for adults. Many of our adult patients have been somewhere else first. Some had braces years ago, some have lived with jaw pain or headaches for a long time, and some have been told their snoring is "just how it is." We start by listening to your whole story, then look at how your teeth, muscles, joints, nerves and breathing are working together.
Cleanings, exams and repairs, done with care for your whole body. We have been mercury-free for decades and follow safe protocols when removing old mercury fillings. Through our Wholeistic Choices program, you can choose alternatives to fluoride-containing products and talk through material options with us.
Dr. Tenholder is a Fellow of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. Care begins with a detailed evaluation of your jaw joints, muscles, bite and posture, and your plan may include dental devices, hands-on therapy, and coordination with your physician and other providers.
Dr. Tenholder is board certified in dental sleep medicine. We evaluate breathing during sleep, provide oral appliance therapy for snoring and obstructive sleep apnea, and work with your physician, who makes the diagnosis.
RestOralase grew out of Dr. Tenholder's own experience with laser therapy. It combines gentle laser light (warm, not hot) with a hands-on release of the tissues under the tongue, together with dental devices designed to work alongside it. Every plan is tailored to the person.
OraLase is a non-surgical laser therapy for the muscles and connective tissues of the mouth, offered for children and adults.
